• Conversational English Teacher for children from ages 4 to 12 in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan. June - October, l996.
• Licensed Mediator. Past Board member and co-chair for Yamhill County, Oregon, Mediators.
• Mediated cases for small claims court and neighbor-to-neighbor disputes. Appointed by the Circuit Court presiding judge to mediate custody disputes in domestic relation cases.
• Peer Court Judge for the City of McMinnville. This was a pilot program developed in Yamhill County, Oregon, that offered an alternative form of discipline for juvenile offenders. The program received national recognition and was reviewed by prosecutors, public defenders, police officers and juvenile referees from Germany for possible implementation in their country.
• Mock Trial Coach for Yamhill-Carlton High School, Yamhill, Oregon, for 4 years. Coached the local high school team from regional's to state finals.
• Member of the Steering Committee for Yamhill County Children and Family Service. Assisted local communities in establishing programs for children.
